Mission Statement

The mission of Glide America is to enable citizens with online and mobile technology to be better informed of the day to day affairs of government, to communicate more effectively with their elected representatives, to organize online in order to make their collective voices heard and to improve the responsiveness of government to better meet the needs of citizens. Glide America is non-partisan and exists for the sole purpose of promoting active citizenship and responsive government.

Description of Services

Glide America empowers citizens with timely information and insight into what their elected representatives are deliberating about and enables citizens and government representatives to communicate more effectively with each other. Glide America's public address book is populated with all relevant contact information for the US Congress, White House, Departments of Government etc. Glide America enables Citizens to make their voices heard before decisions are made and votes are cast.

Glide America's online and mobile technology delivers current and historical information about bills before Congress, voting records of elected officials and other government activities and tracks government officials' responsiveness to citizens through statistical analysis of response times to citizen emails and other online communications. Response times of government representatives are quantified individually and in the aggregate for comparative analysis of representatives and branches of government.

Citizens are provided with the tools to track whether their messages are being read and how long it takes for officials to respond. Citizens can create and/or join discussion groups and share responses from government officials to vet out automated responses and form letters. Citizens can rate their satisfaction level with each government response.

Glide America seeks to improve access to government for all citizens and particularly those who traditionally have had little access. Glide America provides a complete free mobile desktop suite of productivity, communication and collaboration tools that can be accesses on Windows, Mac and Linux PCs and Android, iPhone, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm, Blackberry and other mobile phones for citizens to formulate and share their thoughts with each other and to facilitate both individual and organized action on a daily basis and in times of crisis.
